know where they came from and how they were grown. This also means that KMC has an unusually good opportunity to make sure we do things in an environmentally responsible way. For KMC, these are not just fancy words – they’re simple common sense and part of a practical awareness of the long-term perspectives in what we do. No quick answers After more than 70 years in the ingredients business, we know there are no quick answers. Suppliers’ fields, trees and bushes are not machines, and none of us can control the climate or the weather. In the world of agriculture, there really aren’t any earth-shattering short cuts. Close ties With our close ties with growers and suppliers from Denmark to Inner Mongolia and from Vietnam to South America, we know that investments in infrastructure, irrigation, plant improvements, use of new types of fertilisers, etc. all take time to assess, and to work. |
