Joern Outzen, Chairman of the Board for KMC observes after a visit to China: The Chinese potato starch industry still has to wait for the farmers, but not for long. In Europe it has taken half a century to develop potato farming from digging the potatoes by hand into today's modern technology. It took a long time in Europe because we had to wait for the technology. The farmers in China do not have to wait. The technology is already there. It will only take a few years for Chinese potato farming to evolve from a backward to a super modern level. KMC is able to advance this development in cooperation with the Chinese farmers and local authorities. Today you will find both backward and modern machinery for potato farming in China. In a few years you will see only the modern machines. ![]() ![]() ![]()
