12 May 2005   Exceptional actions and deep concern for the environment
On May 9, 2005 the starch factory in Karup was awarded Viborg County’s yearly environmental award. The recipient is chosen by the county’s environmental network and the reasons for choosing the starch factory include the determined efforts from the factory management towards an environmentally sound production. Much work and many investments have been involved in the process.

Today the factory is on the cutting edge of the environmentally clean technology and work is continually going on to improve and upgrade all aspects of the production to minimize any impact on the environment.
