| 17 November 2006 | KMC held its annual meeting on November 17, 2006 and Chairman Joern Outzen reported from a year with many challenges not only for KMC, but for the starch industry in general. The summer and fall of 2006 brought even more challenges as extreme weather conditions prevailed in much of Europe with low crops as the result. The starch situation in the coming year is therefore expected to be extremely tight with heavy price increases unavoidable. Joern Outzen gave an update on the many new and innovative products in KMC’s product palette and voiced strong confidence in KMC’s ability to continue its development as a leader in the food ingredients industry. |
