KMC responds to continued and increasing customer interest in modified starch |
|
KMC enters into expansion program increasing the production capacity of value-adding products. Over the last several years KMC has experienced a remarkable growth in revenues from value-adding modified starch products based on a constant focus on building strong customer relationships and innovation of new products. KMC proves its dedication to this business segment by entering into a two-step expansion program with the first smaller expansion going on stream during the fall of 2007. A second expansion phase is expected in early 2009 allowing for a doubling of KMC’s production capacity within the modified products segment. |

Commercial manager Viggo Sørensen holding responsibility for sales to i.a. Russia, Germany, and the GB says: “A continued and increasing customer interest in KMC’s derivatives means that we have been sold out for three years in a row. With the addition of our newest innovation – KMC CheeseMaker – and further innovations to be introduced later this year, we have decided to expand our production capacity thereby increasing flexibility as well as our ability to support our customers worldwide. Only after the second and larger expansion will we be able to meet the true demand from our customers”. |

Also at the factory there is dedication to the expansion project. Factory Manager Jens Jørgen Nielsen comments “At the factory we have always been focusing on the customer. With the expansion of the modification capacity, we feel rewarded for our focus and we are enthusiastic about the challenge to produce more complex products, which at the same time will allow for even stronger relationships with our customers”. |
