Against
difficult odds
At KMC’s annual meeting on November 16, 2007 Chairman Joern
Outzen reported from yet a challenging year. For the second year in a
row Mother Nature dealt the European potato farmers a difficult hand.
Once again extreme weather conditions jeopardized the harvest and unusually
low crops were the result. Keeping the customers supplied proved to be
a puzzle that was difficult so solve, but with a little give and take
KMC managed to keep the customers supplied and the financial result for
the year is satisfactory.
Joern Outzen expressed his enthusiasm for KMC’s newest product lines,
CheeseMaker and EmulsiForm that he described as the most innovative product
developments in KMC's starch range.
Joern Outzen also stated that even with the increasing challenges in the
European starch sector and the increased competition for the crops he
has all confidence in KMC’s ability to meet these challenges and
come out the winner. |
