| 28 April 2009 | The relationship between KMC and the Chinese Embassy in Denmark
has always been excellent and KMC has participated in many events arranged
by the Embassy. KMC’s relations with the Chinese starch market have
also been of importance for many years as China historically is one of
KMC’s main markets. On April 23, 2009 the honorable Mr. Xie Hangshen, Ambassador of China and members of his staff visited KMC HQ and KMC Granules in Brande. During the meeting thoughts and experiences regarding the present financial crisis were exchanged as well as thoughts on the starch markets in the EU and China. To a great extent the Embassy and KMC held the same opinion of the development. Only in one area did we see the world through different colored glasses and that is with regard to the now existing antidumping duty. The main conclusion of the meeting was that the Chinese Embassy and KMC have an exceptionally good and friendly relationship, which we also will enjoy for many years to come. |
