Development
in the face of adversity
KMC held its annual meeting on November 20, 2009 and Chairman Martin
Arvad reported from a year that presented many challenges not only for
KMC and the starch industry, but for the global economy and the agricultural
sector as well.
KMC’s strategy continues to be further development of our functional
ingredients and functional solutions and in the coming years we will
see even stronger focus on this area.
Martin Arvad reported from the newly held Food Ingredients Europe (FIE)
fair in Frankfurt that exactly KMC’s new functional solutions,
GlazeMaker and CheeseMaker proved to meet a strong demand from the market.
With the development of not only the functional solutions, but also
the increased utilization of the byproducts from the starch production,
such as protein and fibre, Martin Arvad expressed confidence in KMC’s
ability to maintain its position as a leader in the food ingredients
industry. |
