| 13 May 2004 | A commitment by KMC to exceed their customer’s requirements, as well as to the structure the organization to meet the latest quality standards allows KMC to deliver the highest quality products and service possible, and to compete and excel in today’s global market. April 26, 2004 not only marks the 10th anniversary of KMC's original ISO 9001 accreditation. It also marks the date for verification of this certification to include KMC Granules - and the fact that all KMC production sites in Denmark (i.e. KMC Granules, KMC Derivat and KMC Packing) now are HACCP certified according to DS 3027. KMC was audited for 2 days with everything from receipt of potatoes at KMC Granules to the quality of the hauliers of our finished goods being gone through and commented on. Everybody at KMC participated with great enthusiasm in the process where especially the attitude and competency among the employees influence the result. The project of introducing these systems has been intensive, especially considering the fact that production at KMC Granules really did not start until around Christmas 2003. We are therefore proud to have passed this examination on the first try. We have great expectations that these tools will enable us to maintain and further develop our ability to meet our customers' expectations and demands to the future.
