| Description | ColdSwell 1111
is native cold water swelling potato starch. It is extracted from Danish
potatoes by means of a process that only uses ground water. It is thus
possible to achieve a natural starch with a high degree of purity - physically,
chemically as well as microbiologically. ColdSwell 1111 is made cold water swelling by using a special technique that ensures intact starch granules in the end product, thus providing a superior water binding capacity that does not require heating. ColdSwell 1111 has a medium - long transparent texture with a pleasant mouth feel and excellent flavour release. |
| Application | ColdSwell is
used in a broad range of applications, primarily in snacks, sauces, and
soups. ColdSwell is however also very suitable as a filler. ColdSwell 1111 will form lumps if added directly to water. If starch has to be added directly to water an agglomerated version – ColdSwell 1111A – is available. |
