Application laboratory
  At KMC, we use our well-equipped application laboratory to test ingredients in most of our food applications. We can also test our customers’ recipes, and thus provide expert advice on the most appropriate KMC ingredients for your purposes.
We test new ingredients to determine all the relevant upper and lower limits. We also test ingredients that we currently produce to ensure that they perform satisfactorily.

We have a range of equipment for producing all kinds of meat and fish products. For sausages, these include a meat mincer, a bowl chopper and a sausage stuffer. For marinated products and ham, they include a tenderiser, an injector, a tumbler and, of course, a smoke oven.
Our extensive range of equipment includes a high-pressure homogeniser and heating equipment for dairy products, and a number of mixers and an oven for bakery products.

We make confectionery in a Limitech batch cooker, which we also use for sauces, soups and emulsions, as it has a high-speed mixer head. Other equipment includes a deep-fryer and an autoclave.
We use a number of instruments for analysing our end food products. In addition to a microscope, these include a Brabender testing instrument, a texture analyser, a Bostwick consistometer and a Haake rheometer.
