Major investments in Brande continue to take shape

Written by KMC | May 7, 2026

KMC is making steady progress on two major expansion projects in Brande, where new production facilities are currently taking shape at both KMC Granules and KMC Derivaten.

The projects represent a combined investment of approximately EUR 107 million, with approximately EUR 40 million invested in KMC Granules and approximately EUR 67 million in KMC Derivaten.

The investments are designed to increase capacity, strengthen KMC’s production setup and support the continued development of high-value, potato-based ingredients for customers around the world.

At KMC Granules, the building structures are now in place, and the project has moved into an important installation phase. A new wet line is being established, dryers 1 and 2 have been lifted into position, and a new high-capacity washing facility will soon be ready to support both the new setup and existing production ahead of the next campaign.

At KMC Derivaten, the expansion is also progressing visibly. The new wet line and related drying facilities are close to being enclosed, while the new packaging area, logistics setup and administration building are all taking shape on site.

When completed, the two projects will expand KMC’s production capacity and further strengthen the company’s ability to deliver reliable, high-quality ingredient solutions in a changing global market.

The coming phase will focus on bringing buildings, equipment and systems together into stable and efficient operations.

Behind the visible progress is a significant effort from employees, project teams and external partners. Together, they are helping prepare KMC Amba for future growth and continued development.
